Octodad (A.K.A Octopussy) is the main protagonist of a game of the same name. Octodad was featured in several of PewDiePie's commentaries. The first appearance of Octodad was, naturally, in the first episode of PewDie's Octodad commentaries; on November 22, 2011. Octodad is an octopus character who walks around in a suit. He has a wife who he tries to hide his true identity from.

PewDiePie began his let's play of Octodad on November 22, 2011. The let's play is one of PewDiePie's oldest, having been uploaded prior to PewDiePie showing his face alongside his commentary. The let's play lasted four episodes, finishing on December 8, 2011, despite PewDiePie promising to continue the series at the end of the fourth episode.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch is the sequel to Octodad. On July 31, 2013, PewDiePie began playing a pre-build, or "alpha", of the game. Interestingly, the full game contains a reference to PewDiePie in the grocery store level, alongside referances to other Lets Players and Reviewers who helped make the original game popular such as TotalBiscuit and the Freelance Astronauts.

Pre-Build[]

On July 31, 2013, PewDiePie played a pre-build level of Octodad: Dadliest Catch, "Wedding Bells". In the level, Octodad had to get properly dressed for his marriage to his wife, seen in the original game.
