The first appearance of Octodad was, naturally, in the first episode of PewDie's Octodad commentaries; on November 22, 2011. Octodad is an octopus character who walks around in a suit. Octodad: Dadliest CatchEditOctodad: Dadliest Catch is the sequel to Octodad. On July 31, 2013, PewDiePie began playing a pre-build, or "alpha", of the game. Interestingly, the full game contains a reference to PewDiePie in the grocery store level, alongside referances to other Lets Players and Reviewers who helped make the original game popular such as TotalBiscuit and the Freelance Astronauts.
On July 31, 2013, PewDiePie played a pre-build level of Octodad: Dadliest Catch, "Wedding Bells". In the level, Octodad had to get properly dressed for his marriage to his wife, seen in the original game.
